What I Really Want for Mother’s Day

IMG_5049.JPGI’ve seen a lot of ‘Mothers Day Gift Guides’ over the past week or so, and yes they are full of lovely things that I would definitely like to receive. However it got me thinking about what would actually be top of my wish list for Mothers Day. Assuming that a two week spa holiday in the Maldives is out of the question, this is what I came up with.

A full night’s sleep. I’m talking a full twelve hours please. I think this should be the two nights surrounding Mother’s Day.

Uninterrupted breakfast. No spooning yoghurt into Darcie while eating my own with the other hand, and definitely no porridge being thrown at me. We could stretch this to lunch and dinner as well!

A hot cup of tea. And to drink it sitting down!

A volume button. For my child who has developed a new screeching sound over the past couple of weeks.

To go to the toilet without my little devoted audience member.

A new set of boobs. Mine have holes in, thanks teething baby.

For Darcie’s cold to clear up. I don’t know how much longer I can stand being the evil nose wiping Mummy that I have been since about November.

The use of both my hands. Yes, it’s great that I have learnt to do basically everything one handed but it would be nice to go old school for the day.

For time to slow down. My baby is growing up way too fast for my liking, I’d like a pause button to go along with the volume one!

I’m sure that there are many more, but my sleep deprived brain is unable to think of them right now. Let me know what your ultimate Mother’s Day wishlist contains!
