Little Tikes Swim to Me Puppy Review

Anyone who knows my daughter in real life or who has read my blog for a long time will know that she is animal mad. There are times when I genuinely feel she prefers animals to humans and will happily spend her time watching cats from the window, chasing them when we go for walks and ‘woofing’ at every dog that we see. I would love more than anything to get her her very own pet but the timing doesn’t quite feel right at the moment. So I was very happy when we received a Little Tikes Swim to Me Puppy to review. I immediately knew that she would absolutely love the toy and we couldn’t wait to try him out. Continue reading “Little Tikes Swim to Me Puppy Review”

Flip Out Southampton Review

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Flip Out to see if I would like to try out their trampoline park with Darcie and to write a review for them. Not being someone to turn down an opportunity to do something different, I of course said yes and so along we went on Friday 10th of November. We took two of our friends along with us because everything is better with friends, and we all had a really good time. When you first arrive at Flip Out you have to sign a waiver basically saying that you will take responsibility for yourself and your children and then there is a short health and safety video to watch. It really is very short so you don’t need to worry about keeping the kids still for very long at all. I think it’s good that they do all of this as it shows that they really care about your safety and enjoyment while using the equipment. We were a bit disappointed though as they don’t allow triple flips which was obviously the main reason we wanted to go (kidding!). You have to purchase non slip socks for jumping which are then yours to keep for any future times that you go, and there are lockers to leave any possessions that you don’t want to take onto the trampolines with you. Creating A Brand With LogoJoy

color_with_background@2x

I keep mentioning my new online venture on this blog and I do have a post in the works that will be a full introduction to the business and will also include an exciting giveaway. Although I have been trading for a few months already, It is all still very much a work in progress and one thing that I was still lacking was a logo to represent the brand. It was perfect timing when I was offered to try out LogoJoy’s online logo creator and I have ended up with a logo that I am very happy with for my new business. Pumpkin Picking at Pickwell Farm

Ever since our lovely day out Strawberry picking in the summer I have been looking forward to going back to Pickwell Farm in the Autumn to pick some pumpkins. We headed off bright and early this morning, the sun was shining and as it is a weekday we hoped it wouldn’t be too busy. It wasn’t busy at all although I think that was partly due to the fact that we had actually missed peak pumpkin picking season. There wasn’t a great selection of pumpkins left but that didn’t really matter as I think main fun of going pumpkin picking is the experience not necessarily the pumpkin you come home with anyway. We had a great time and I got some photos that I am in love with so that’s the main thing anyway, right? Continue reading “Pumpkin Picking at Pickwell Farm”

My Toddler’s Favourite Snacks

Anyone that knows my daughter in real life will know that she spends ninety percent of the day with a snack in her hand. She is the true Queen of Snacks so who could be better to recommend our favourite toddler snacks to the internet, than her? She’s never been one for big meals, preferring to constantly graze throughout the day, for this reason it’s important to me that the snacks I am giving her are healthy and nutritious. She’s constantly on the go and all these snacks are great for giving her the energy she needs. So, in no particular order these are my toddler’s favourite snacks. Created by Magic Review and Giveaway!

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have become borderline obsessed about decorating my daughter’s bedroom. The day that I found out I was having a girl I started hunting for those perfect pieces that would make her room just as beautiful as I knew that she was going to be. That hunt has never ended really; as she has grown and developed I am constantly on the lookout for things to add to her bedroom to reflect her developing personality. When Created by Magic offered me the chance tor review one of their products I was thrilled as their prints are absolutely stunning and they have a fantastic selection to choose from. Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave Review

A few weeks ago we were invited to go along to one of the Big Fish Little Fish Family Raves that was taking place in Engine Rooms in Southampton. I’d never even heard of a family rave before and not being someone to turn down a chance to do something different, I gladly accepted the invitation to go along and review the rave. This particular event was Heroes and Villains themed fancy dress and I was apprehensive as to how dressed up most people would be. We went for a cop out costume, of Cops and Robbers (sorry I couldn’t resist!). Darcie wore a striped t shirt and I made her a criminal ID number that I stuck on her top and Dan and I wore black and had Police hats that we could choose to wear depending on the level of fancy dress we encountered once we got there! Apps For Mums

Navigating the world of pregnancy and parenthood is not an easy task, but imagine embarking on that journey without any of the modern technology that we have at our fingertips today! These days we can get advice, recommendations and answers to all of our weirdest pregnancy questions from many different places. Those late night Google searches of ‘can I eat grapes while I’m pregnant?’ and ‘will I squash the baby if I tie my shoelaces?’ can lead us to many different sources of advice. From reading advice and personal experiences from my favourite Mummy bloggers to getting medical advice from the NHS wesbite, I’ve tried it all, but the thing that I wanted to talk about today is Apps. Those wonderful little icons on our phones that are so small but that hold a wealth of information and advice for all of us clueless parents. Continue reading “Apps For Mums”

Making The Most of Rainy Days

IMG_5949 (2).JPG

I’ve never been one to let the weather dictate what I do and since becoming a stay at home mum, I’ve really made a point of not allowing the rain to keep us cooped up inside. I’ve often felt the term ‘stay at home mum’ is quite ridiculous because I don’t think many of us actually stay at home that much. The cabin fever can become only too real if you fall into the trap of staying in the house too much and I always think it’s much healthier for your body and your mind to get outside as much as possible. I have also found that now Darcie is really a toddler it has become much harder to keep her entertained at home than it is to bundle her up out the door and find something to really capture her attention.
