You may remember that a few months ago I started doing monthly favourites posts, they were a good way to round up the month but the problem I found is actually having enough different things to put in the post each month. My lovely friend Caitylis has recently started a series on her blog which are posts called ‘Sightings From’ in which she puts her favourite photographs from the month and a little summary of how the month has been. She has invited other bloggers to join in with this and so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get back into doing a monthly round up post but in a more manageable style. I realise I’m a bit late with this as we are now nearly halfway through December but as I always say better late than never! Continue reading “Sightings From November”
After the success of my post So You Want To Start A Blog? I have decided to start throwing in more of these blogging related posts. While I know I have a lot of mums that read my blog who might not be interested in the ins and outs of blogging, I am also aware that some of my readers are bloggers themselves who could find some of my tips useful. These are just some tips that I have learnt over the last year and a half on how to increase my blog traffic.
Post shareable content
All the tips that I am going to list will only work if you have good, shareable content. No amount of promotion will help if you aren’t writing posts that people want to read or share. I tend to write a mixture of posts, some that I just really want to write (that I don’t really care if they are popular anyway because I just want to write them) and posts that I know will do well in terms of views. Lists, reviews and tips, tricks and hacks will generally do better than little Tim’s 14 month update, that is what I’ve found anyway. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write those posts but just be aware that they probably won’t be the ones to make it big. Continue reading “How To Increase Your Blog Traffic”
I wrote my very first blog post in July 2016 after thinking about starting a blog for a good few years. It began solely as a personal project that nobody knew about and it’s only in the last few months that I have started to put more time and effort into it to really make it into something to be proud of and to bring in some income. I’m by no means a big blogger but I thought I would share some of the things that I have learnt along the way to help anyone reading this who might be thinking about starting a blog.
1. Think about why you want to start a blog Continue reading “So You Want To Start A Blog?”
I published my Mum & Toddler Monthly Faves// July on the 8th of August so I’m doing marginally better this month (it’s the 6th today!). Maybe by Christmas I’ll get it out on time, or maybe I’ll just carry on in my usual disorganised way. I tend to ramble on a lot at the beginning of all my posts so I’m just going to jump straight into this one, starting with Darcie’s favourites.
