Dreamy Babymoon Destinations

abdomen-baby-beach-161569.jpgAs you will definitely have gathered by now, Dan and I are expecting our second child! As the countdown to the 24th June begins, I can’t help but sit back and dream about all of the babymoon destinations that I would love to visit. We had a babymoon when I was pregnant with Darcie but it seems so much harder to achieve when we now also have a toddler to consider! However, there are some absolutely beautiful destinations for a babymoon and I thought I would share them with you here.

St. Lucia, Caribbean

Just because you’re pregnant, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the glamour of a Caribbean holiday! In fact, sea air is actually proven to help get a better night’s sleep – something I could definitely do with right now! To make this little island even more appealing, resorts such as the Coconut Bay offer up special babymoon packages. That’s right, you’ll get a break from the children, as well as prenatal massages, and a private photo shoot to remember the holiday. Could life get much more relaxing than that?!

Bath, England

A staycation can be the perfect way to unwind. After all, it takes away the stress of having to fly. Plus, eating can be a struggle throughout any pregnancy. Whether you’re suffering with sickness or heartburn, the struggle is real! There are several foods to be avoided during pregnancy, and this can be difficult in a foreign country. Bath is easy to access from most of the country and offers up some natural hot springs for the perfect touch of relaxation on your trip.

Park City, Utah

Although this beautiful area rose to fame thanks to the skiing, there are several other ways to enjoy the outdoors on this all-American holiday. The mountains offer an elegant backdrop to help you feel completely at one with nature. Plus, several of the lodgings come with fireplaces and hot chocolate on offer. What is usually the perfect après ski can now be yours to enjoy as you enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. To top it off, there is a local high street that offers a variety of shops if you’re in the mood for some retail therapy.

Maui, Hawaii

You may be wondering if it is safe to fly while you are pregnant? Have no fear, with a few medical checks and getting in touch with your airline, you could soon be jetting off around the world. This means you don’t have to miss out on the beauty of Maui as one of the top babymoon destinations! There are plenty of activities such as meditation and prenatal yoga. Plus, if you’re feeling up to it, there are several coastal walks you can enjoy. If you want more of a relaxing stay then have no fear; the breathtaking views will offer plenty to keep you entertained.

Venice, Italy

There is a reason so many couples flock to Venice every year. The city offers up a whole heap of romance, such as one of the world famous gondola rides. Plus, you could find all your cravings met with the delicious Italian cuisine on offer. Pizza, pasta, fresh tomatoes, and plenty of delicate seasonings – what could be better? To make a trip to the city even more inviting, hotels, such as the Una Hotel Baglioni, have a special 10% off offer for mothers-to-be. Now you can stay in luxury without the hefty price tag.

As much as I have been longing for baby number two to arrive, I still don’t want to let this time pass Dan and I by. We are about to enter a new stage of our lives, and we should remember to spend time together before there is a new little one running around! Did you have a babymoon?
