My Hopes & Fears For Becoming A Mum Of Two | One Year On

When I became a mum for the first time, I was quite blissfully naive. None of my friends had children and while I knew that this would be a life changing thing, nothing could have prepared me for the total turnaround that my life was about to take. It took a lot of adjusting to really feel like I had found my feet as a mum and just when I got to that point – we decided to have another one! Second time around I knew more of what I was letting myself in for, I knew that my baby would cry (a lot) and I knew that they (probably) wouldn’t sleep very well. But the one thing that I felt completely ignorant to was just how life would be with two children. How would I cope at home with them both by myself? Would Darcie be mad at me for having another baby? Would they get on? The list went on! (more…)

Girly Gift Guide For Three Year Olds

We recently celebrated Darcie’s third birthday. The fact that I am even having to write that on here shows how long I’ve been neglecting this space for – however, if you follow me on Instagram you would be more than aware of that fact (sorry again blog for the recent neglect). It can be really hard to know what to buy for birthdays, especially these days when the options seem endless. With that in mind I’ve put together a list of products that Darcie is loving at the moment in the hopes that it can be useful for anyone currently in a present buying panic. This was never intended to be a ‘girly’ gift guide however when I rounded it all up a strong unicorn/fairy/pink theme became apparent. (I don’t even know if you’re allowed to say girly these days, but it just seemed like the best way to sum it up. All of these items could be for boys or girls). (more…)

My Goals For 2019

If there’s one trait that I’ve developed over the past few years, it is my total love for setting goals. I’m a strong believer in the power of writing goals down and putting them out there for the universe. Last year I didn’t do this as a blog post, but I wrote down a few very specific goals in a notebook and kept referring back to them throughout the year to see how I was doing. And I’m happy to say that I achieved most of them! This year I am going to make myself even more accountable and share them with you all here. That way I’m even more likely to work towards them and hopefully in a years time I will be sitting here writing that I have checked them off. I recently got a phone case which has the phrase ‘Don’t Stop Until You Are Proud’ written on it, and that is basically what all of these goals amount to. I want 2019 to be the year that I can say that I am proud of all areas of my life.¬†However, I think it’s important to be specific with goals and resolutions so I have split them down into categories and smaller aspirations which I will share with you now. Christmas Gift Guide | Women

So here we are, the grand finale of Little Snippets’ Gift Guide Week¬†and I’ve saved the best till last. One for us girls! These are always my favourite gift guides to read as the person I struggle for idea with the most is myself. You know when someone asks you what you want for Christmas and you haven’t got the foggiest because you can’t remember the last time you were encouraged to think about yourself for a change? Yeah, that. I know I’m not the only one to have that problem, so here are some things that I think would be lovely to find underneath the Christmas tree this year. I hope you can find some inspiration here.
