If you have been following me on Instagram over the last couple of months, you will have seen that Darcie’s bedroom has had a serious makeover. It all started with an idea on a whim for a new bed for her. I was browsing Pinterest and saw some amazing beds with slides, showed Dan, and before you know it he had created a design and was on the way to B&Q for supplies. Things move quite quickly in this house when one of us has an idea, especially when it involves Dan getting to build something!
Her new bed is an amazing feature of the room, but there was still something missing. Half of her room looked incredible, but the other side still just looked a little lack lustre. so I decided that the perfect thing to solve this would be to put together a gallery wall for her. And where is the place to go when you want to create a gallery wall? Desenio, of course! We have some of their beautiful prints in our dining room and people are always complimenting them and asking where they are from.
The ordering process is so simple; the selection of prints is vast but you can easily search by categories or keywords to find what you are looking for. When you find a print you like and add it to your basket, you select the size you want and you can then also easily add poster frames in the corresponding size in a colour and material of your choice. If frames aren’t your vibe, they also sell poster hangers, picture ledges, clips and washi tape.
I wanted to involve Darcie in the process so we browsed through the ‘Kids Wall Art’ category together and she showed me (lots!) of ones that she liked. I then later narrowed them down and used the Gallery Wall planner tool to see how they would all look together. Designing a gallery wall can be quite an overwhelming process, so I love that Desenio simplifies it for you. I chose light wood and also gold frames for the prints and a variety of sizes that I thought would look nice together, and I’m pleased to say that I love the finished result!
Delivery is very quick and everything comes impeccably packaged so that the prints and frames don’t get damaged in transit. I couldn’t find fault with any aspect of the entire experience of ordering with Desenio, and I know I will continue to add pieces from them to our home, and any other houses we live in in the future. Whether you like paintings, quote posters, abstract prints or something entirely unique, there really is something for everyone. I even spied a few customisable pieces for kids rooms too which I thought was brilliant.
As a part of this collaboration Desenio have been kind enough to give me something to pass along to you as well, click on this Instagram post to find out what that is!
