10 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week 16.12.17

Here we are again, another week has passed and so it is time for my weekly round up of things that have made me happy. I love writing these posts so I hope that you enjoy reading them.

1. Making salt dough decorations with Darcie
I tried to do this with her last year and it was nothing short of a total disaster. This year however was a completely different experience. Darcie loved sitting up on the counter and helping me make the dough, she rolled it out with me and loved using the cookie cutters to make different shapes and doing her little hand prints. Every time she put her hand in the dough she concentrated really hard, looked up at me and said ‘good?’ until I told her she was doing a great job, she just melts me! Last year they ended up rising in the oven but this time they have come out perfectly so the next job is just decorating! (more…)

Sightings From November

You may remember that a few months ago I started doing monthly favourites posts, they were a good way to round up the month but the problem I found is actually having enough different things to put in the post each month. My lovely friend Caitylis has recently started a series on her blog which are posts called ‘Sightings From’ in which she puts her favourite photographs from the month and a little summary of how the month has been. She has invited other bloggers to join in with this and so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get back into doing a monthly round up post but in a more manageable style. I realise I’m a bit late with this as we are now nearly halfway through December but as I always say better late than never! (more…)

For the month of December Pampers are running a #ThankYouMidwife campaign across social media. The idea behind the campaign came from research that showed that unfortunately one in three midwives feel undervalued. So Pampers have decided to donate £1 to the Royal College of Midwives Benevolent fund for every time the #ThankYouMidwife hashtag is used across social media. I have been seeing all sorts of wonderful posts online dedicated to the fantastic work our midwives do all day every day and have been inspired to write my own tribute to all the midwives who played a part in my pregnancy, labour, delivery and aftercare. 2017 Christmas Tag

Christmas Tag 2017.png
I was tagged by the lovely Rachael at From Rachael Claire to take part in her 2017 Christmas tag. Rachael is one of the most festive people I know, which is saying something seeing as I consider myself to be pretty festive anyway! She was the perfect person to create this tag and I’ve really enjoyed taking part. At the end of the post I’m going to tag some other bloggers to take part and it would be amazing for you to go over and take a look at their blogs too. So let’s jump straight in!

10 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week 09.12.17

I really enjoy writing these round up posts of things that have made me happy this week but I lost track of them somewhere in November. However, now that Blogmas is here and I’ve rediscovered my blogging mojo, it’s time to bring them back. So here are ten things that have made me happy this week:

1. Darcie’s advent calendar
I’ve done Darcie a toy and book advent calendar again this year and so she gets to unwrap a little present each day in the run up to Christmas. Every morning it makes her so happy to open up the parcel and see what’s inside and I just know that she is going to be overjoyed on Christmas morning when she gets to open a lot more than one at a time! Christmas Gift Guide For Toddlers

With Christmas looming I’ve put together this gift guide for toddlers to hopefully give some inspiration to any parents out there who are struggling for ideas. Let’s be honest you can go into any Early Learning Centre, Toys ‘r’ Us or Argos and be bombarded with choices and ideas of all the latest toys to buy your toddler, so I’ve focused on some more alternative ideas that you might not otherwise have thought of and to support some smaller or lesser known brands in the process.
