Using Spatone During Pregnancy | A Review

~ sponsored content ~

It’s certainly no secret that being pregnant whilst also looking after a toddler, is hard work. Having good energy levels is pretty much essential when it comes to being a toddler mum, so when pregnancy fatigue hits – life can become quite difficult quite quickly. I generally am somebody that has pretty good energy levels, we’re always on the go and I love being able to take Darcie out for adventures every day. However in this later stage of pregnancy, I won’t pretend that I haven’t begun to struggle. I’ll often find myself feeling dizzy and exhausted after doing even the simplest of everyday tasks. It was really starting to get me down as it became more and more difficult to keep up with Darcie throughout the day. (more…)

The Watercress Line | War On The Line

When I was invited to attend the War on the Line event at The Watercress Line just a week before my due date, I did have to stop and think for a second as to whether it was a good idea to go along. After a grand total of two seconds thinking that through, I decided that of course it was an excellent idea to go! Darcie is really interested in trains at the moment so I knew she’d enjoy herself and I had high hopes that it would be a great family day out for us all. For anyone who doesn’t know, The Watercress Line is a heritage railway in Hampshire along which several steam trains still run all year round. The Line played an important role in both of the World Wars due to it’s positioning between the army centre in Aldershot and the docks of Southampton. (more…)

Darcie’s Second Birthday Party

Today marks one month since Darcie’s second birthday, which means that it also marks one month of me not managing to get this post written. I’m going to go ahead and blame pregnancy for my major procrastination there! (The particularly savvy among you will now realise that actually it is one month and four days now, since she turned two – I think that says it all!) Darcie’s birthday conveniently fell on a Saturday so it was easy enough for us to decide to hold her party on the same day. For her first birthday we just invited family but this year it was really nice to have some of her little friends come along too. (more…)

The Nesting Instinct & A Giveaway With ACE

Recently something has been driving me crazy. At nearly 39 weeks pregnant, the nesting instinct has kicked in in a big way, it’s totally insatiable and persistent and to be honest it’s driving me mad. Since having Darcie and becoming the stay at home parent, I have naturally become quite house proud. If we have visitors and the house is untidy or unclean, we all know who is going to get the blame! To be honest, I also don’t think I’ve actually stopped nesting since Darcie was born. My house is in no way pristine but I do make an effort to keep it presentable as much as I can around the demands of a toddler. (more…)

Adding Character To The Children’s Bedrooms With Posterlounge & A Giveaway

~ sponsored content ~

You may have noticed there has been quite a theme with some of my posts recently, I’m determinedly making our house a home one room at a time. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones and just an extreme form of ‘nesting’ but recently I’m just loving making little changes and improvements to the house to really make it somewhere that I love to be. One of my favourite ways to add character and personality to a room is by introducing prints and wall art to the space. Our whole house is painted white which I love as it is very airy and bright but I also love colour and pattern so I’ve been using wall art to introduce this all around the house. (more…)
