The Best Of 2018

Wow! Where to begin with 2018? It has been quite the year and I feel like a lot has happened for me and my family, which I am going to attempt to summarise in this post. I’m almost daunted by writing this post, as I know I will miss bits and fail to do other bits justice. But I have to try, so here we are! My best bits from 2018.

Christmas Gift Guide | Women

So here we are, the grand finale of Little Snippets’ Gift Guide Week and I’ve saved the best till last. One for us girls! These are always my favourite gift guides to read as the person I struggle for idea with the most is myself. You know when someone asks you what you want for Christmas and you haven’t got the foggiest because you can’t remember the last time you were encouraged to think about yourself for a change? Yeah, that. I know I’m not the only one to have that problem, so here are some things that I think would be lovely to find underneath the Christmas tree this year. I hope you can find some inspiration here.

The Positive Power Of Social Media

I didn’t have any intention of writing this post when I woke up this morning. It hasn’t been on my to do list or sitting in my drafts for months just waiting to be written. And I’ll be honest, today I haven’t been feeling positive about social media, I’ve allowed myself to pay attention to people who aren’t using it to help others, but are instead just out for their own personal gain. I’m so sick of seeing it, but more than that, I am sick of letting it be something that even takes up space in my brain. So, instead of deleting Instagram and sitting here moaning about those people (I’m done, I swear!) I decided to write a post about the other people. The good ones. The ones who inspire me daily and who I genuinely believe have good intentions to help others and to spread positivity. I can’t change what people are doing in the world of social media but I can choose who I pay attention to, so here are some total babes who make me happy. If you don’t know about any of them already, then you’re gonna need to get to know!  (more…)

Autumn & Winter Bucket List

~ sponsored content ~

Apologies to anyone who is still mourning the end of summer, but I for one am very happy that Autumn has arrived. I actually always used to be such a summer lover, but since having children I much prefer the cooler months. There is no sun cream to reapply every half an hour, no worrying about dehydration and no hot sticky babies that just want to be cuddled. Well, of course the babies are still around but they are less hot and sticky which is a very good thing! I love the age that Darcie is at now as it means that this Christmas will really be the first one that she can properly understand and enjoy. So I really want to make the most of the build up and all the autumnal, festive activities and outings we can do in the mean time. (more…)

Thinking Ahead | How To Cope With Chickenpox

~ sponsored content ~

Chickenpox is generally something you only face once as a parent and so I definitely think it’s good to be prepared for when your house is struck with the dreaded virus. When ViraSoothe offered to send me a chickenpox survival kit, I knew it would be a handy thing to have ready for when the inevitable happens. It’s also a great opportunity for me to share ideas with you all of how to cope when the time comes and what you could put in your own chickenpox survival kit. (more…)
